- Do I need a Chinese version of my website?
- If a real share of your customers speak Chinese, yes, but it doesn't need to be the whole site. One well-written Chinese page for your main service, with your hours, prices and area, does more than a full machine translation.
- Can I just use machine translation?
- For a first draft, it helps. But readers notice stiff Chinese straight away, and so does AI when it decides what to quote. Have a native speaker rewrite it, especially headings, prices and anything about health or money.
- Which Chinese name should my business use?
- One name, the same everywhere: your website, your Google profile, Xiaohongshu and any directory. If customers find three different Chinese names, Google and AI may treat them as three different businesses.
- Should my website show both my English and Chinese names?
- Yes, side by side: in the page title, the heading and the footer. That tells Google and AI that the English name and the Chinese name are one business, so mentions of either count for you.
- Is Xiaohongshu or Google more important?
- They do different jobs. People discover and compare on Xiaohongshu, then check opening hours, reviews and directions on Google. A small business with Chinese-speaking customers usually needs both to say the same thing.
- Where do I start?
- With what customers find today. Our free audit checks your site in both languages, and the A$29 AI Recommendation Report can be run in Chinese.
